Join parents, teachers and mental health professionals for a comprehensive overview of the best-practice skills and techniques utilized with the increasing number of ADHD and attention deficit diagnosed children.
Participants will acquire new tools for success including specific strategies and practical ideas to help children develop social/emotional awareness, enhance concentration skills and confidence and increase their ability to manage emotions and impulses. Through lecture, hands-on learning, reflection and discussion, we’ll uncover some of the myths of ADHD and experience specially designed classroom and counseling activities such as yoga-based movement, mindfulness activities, nervous-system regulation techniques, social/emotional games, and relaxation and storytelling techniques.

Offered cooperatively by Portland State University, Continuing Education in the Graduate School of Education (CE/ED) and Still Moving Yoga, LLC. One PSU Undergraduate or Graduate Credit and/or 10 CEU/Clock Hours available. Coursework also applies toward Yoga Calm Teacher certification and qualifies for professional development credit. - certificate of training hours provided
