Yoga Calm® for Girls:
Finding Strength & Support

Help your child develop healthy habits for a lifetime of wellness and happiness.

This series of workshops is designed to help girls identify and develop their personal strength in a supportive setting. Through yoga, dance, mask-making and discussion, girls will learn a variety of tools that will help them move through their life with confidence and awareness. Skills and activities include:

  • Yoga poses to develop strength, concentration and self-confidence--and learn compassion and leadership skills.
  • Simple breathing techniques to reduce stress, develop self-control and connect girls with their feelings.
  • Traditional cultural dances that develop strength, endurance and community--and bring joy and healing to the body.
  • Mask making - we will each make a mask of our "strong self."
  • Relaxation techniques and storytelling to calm the body and mind and integrate physical, emotional and mental experiences.

Open to girls, ages 10-14
