Farm to Table Experience – Lion’s Heart Farm

Hosts: Joanne Engerman & Lynea Gillen

September 15, 2024, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Lion’s Heart Farm, Aurora, OR

Let’s Reconnect, with Ourselves, with Each Other, with Nature

Young people have been through several difficult years. Breaks in their education from covid, strikes, weather and a daily diet of negative news and overstimulating material from social media. So what can we as parents and guardians do to counter these influences?

Connecting to the things that are reliable, beautiful and simple help young people find hope and build resilience in trying times. In this yoga class that is exactly what we will be doing.

Digital devices will be set aside for three hours while students will connect to themselves, to each other and to nature and the larger world. This will be done through social games, yoga, relaxation, outdoor explorations and preparing and sharing beautiful snacks from the garden and local producers.

Lynea Gillen, founder of Yoga Calm for Children, licensed counselor and former classroom teacher, will lead the class bringing her years of experience helping youth build resilience, discover their gifts and build joy into daily life. (Her full bio is below).

Farm to Table Experience – Lion’s Heart Farm
