Veteran educator and school counselor Lynea Gillen saw it, too – and responded by bringing yoga to her students. Together with her husband Jim, a 40-year yoga practitioner and former Co-Principal Investigator for the National Science Foundation, they developed their methodology at a rural elementary school. It evolved into an award-winning program that integrates physical yoga, social-emotional learning (SEL) activities, counseling techniques and mindfulness practices, and has been used by more than 20,000 teachers in nearly a dozen countries.
More and more children benefit from this award-winning program every day.
