  • Simple breathing techniques to slow down the nervous system, develop self-control and connect kids with their feelings.
  • Yoga poses to release energy, learn compassion and develop strength, concentration and self-confidence.
  • Games and processes that develop patience, mindfulness, compassion, leadership and other social/emotional skills.
  • Relaxation techniques and storytelling to calm the body and mind, and integrate physical, emotional and cognitive experiences.

Classes are beneficial for children with attention and social difficulties. Through Yoga Calm practice, your child will develop more personal awareness and learn specific strategies to maintain focus and manage their emotions and impulses. And practice over time contributes to his or her greater health, self-mastery and well-being.

Highly Experienced Instructors

Yoga Calm attracts experienced professionals from a wide variety of fields who teach Yoga Calm classes for children or integrate Yoga Calm activities and methods with their work. Our certified instructors typically have master’s degrees and many years of experience working with youth.  They have also completed our 100-hour Youth Instructor Certification Training and had their teaching evaluated by Yoga Calm.

Our Instructors include school teachers, counselors, occupational and physical therapists, medical doctors, nurses, and fitness and yoga instructors who provide Yoga Calm services in many different ways, including after-school programs, weekly classes, private sessions and summer camps.
